sorrow's slowly taking over
settling like a cool, gray haze
consuming all desire for what you once loved
as you succumb to the flower, the pipe
the bottle, the knife
the only things that spell any pleasure at all
but the dark seduction only tastes sweet for so long
and when the satisfaction wears off
you're left empty
devoid of all meaning
there's no more hope
no more thoughts of the future
only thing left to ask for
is to just let it end.
